pediatric assessment
Dr. Ashley views assessment with your child as a collaborative opportunity to learn about their strengths and weaknesses, and ways to support them in doing and feeling their best. Assessments are targeted to answer your specific questions regarding your child or teen and provide strategies and recommendations to support them in the different areas of their lives.
Different types of assessments
-

Preschool Screeners
Have concern about your preschooler’s development? The screener is a great option to learn more about your child and whether further evaluation is warranted.
-

ADHD Screeners
ADHD screeners are brief assessments that narrow in on the question of whether your child has difficulty with attention regulation, inhibition, and other areas of executive functioning.
-

Comprehensive Evaluations
The comprehensive evaluation explores cognitive functioning, attention, memory and learning, and how your child/teen is doing emotionally and socially.
The ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Dr. Ashley starts every evaluation by gathering questions that you and your child/teen would like the assessment to answer. These questions will guide the assessment process.
From start to finish, Dr. Ashley uses a collaborative and empowering approach. Once completed, Dr. Ashley provides specific recommendations to you, your child/teen, and their school (if applicable) that will support your child/teen in doing and feeling their best.
Would an Assessment be helpful?
An assessment can address many different questions and can provide information to empower you in taking your next steps.
Does your child struggle at school?
Is your child engaging in behaviors that concern you?
are you wondering if your child has ADHD?
Does your child need additional time on exams?
Are you wondering if your child is gifted?
